About Me
I see God in the day to day rhythms and the ups and downs of life. Being in nature, exploring the arts, engaging in relationships with family and friends and my church community all provide ways that I encounter and experience delight in God as I grow in my spiritual experiences. I understand the value of having a spiritual friend to walk beside me as life’s rollercoaster can have us questioning, doubting and struggling to find our way.
Certification in spiritual direction from Emmaus Formation Center has provided the transition from my experience as a Christian therapist (30 years), an adjunct professor, a business owner and artist. I bring these experiences and a range of other life happenings to my practice as a spiritual director. I am a wife, a mother of three adult children, a cancer survivor, and an individual who lives with some chronic health challenges. I love colour, texture, exploring all kinds of artistic opportunities, books (I have an ever increasing library), spending time camping, and exploring this amazing world we are blessed to live in. My greatest joy is sharing in the transformative work of God through the Holy Spirit in the lives of others and myself.
As a spiritual director, I am committed to continuing to grow in my own relationship with God. I do this by a consistent practice of prayer and contemplation, reading scripture and other resources, participating in a community of faith, receiving ongoing direction for myself, supervision of my work and opportunities for continuing education. I follow the Code of Ethics for the Emmaus Society of Spiritual Directors and Spiritual Directors International. I am also committed to praying for you on your journey.
